Lego leads the way in camp play

Thanks to Indiana Jones marketing, Lego has now brought out a canvas tent. Lego people can now camp out right in your kids bedroom, complete with ants, bonfire, roast beef and a Lego banana. Just another way to ensure your kids grow up loving the great outdoors. (lego 7264,7622)

I survived a camp gear sale day!

I mentioned I was going to a one day sale today. How did I cope? I thought about some new hiking shoes, I found some new-type micro fleece thermals (too cheap, can't be any good), tried on some new clothes, loaded my trolley with a new headlight, (can't have too many), new thermal for my 10 y.o. (sucked in by the packaging, it's own packing cell) and some fleece walking pants for just $11. The shop was so happy with me, they gave me a voucher for another 26% off all this week.

Another camping sale on - what will I do?

Tomorrow is another 26% off sale at Rays! I don't need any thing, what shall I do? I'm thinking I'll take a friend who needs something, then at least I can look, but not buy... talk to you tomorrow

How do I choose which camping trailer to buy or make?

I've just sold our camping trailer. It was a good one, nothing wrong with it but the lure of ebay and the trading post was too strong.

So now I'm trawling through ads looking at possible replacements but the options are too great. There is one for every purpose. Check out the one in the pic - the possibilities! You could bolt anything on to that.

I think the only solution is to buy several and have one for the various occasions that camping throws at you.

One of our mottos here at mycampgear.com is 'One camping trailer is NEVER enough'.
