Western Arthurs full traverse
type:
walk
difficulty:
5 - very hard
Location
TAS
Australia
The Western Arthur mountain range in South West Tasmania is one of the best serious bushwalks in Australia. On my trip there in February I left the GPS on to get a good record of the track (except for a short period when the batteries died).

Here are some of the vital statistics of this walk.
Accumulated elevation gain: 6,333m or 20,778ft (that's 2/3s the height of Everest!)
Total distance: 91.4km or 56.77mi
Max altitude: 1,184m (West portal)
Min elevation: 118m

Western Arthurs
Geoff, is there a reason why camp 2 is not on the Google Earth overlay?
