It was October last year that I first posted on our new camping trailer project. The plan was to give a running update, but that didn't happen.
But the trailer is finally finished and we've just come back from our maiden voyage with it in tow, Although we had used the trailer a few times in it's unfinished form. The video shows what we've come up with and hopefully it might give you a few ideas.
During the video I say that trailer was originally a 7x1, it was actually a 7x4.
A new project is always good - it's easy to start something.:)
I recently sold our Trek Kudu trailer because, while it was a great trailer, it didn't quite meet our needs. Namely, it was difficult to put my motorbike on it. I did manage it but it was difficult - see here. (I did put my KTM200EXC on the top where the pushbikes go but it was a bit hairy getting it up and down.)
So the purpose of the new trailer is to store and cart our camping gear, as well as take pushbikes and motorbikes.
The video below is the first step and we'll be posting more as the project progresses.
