Review: light my fire - fire stick

I decided to get a 'light my fire' scout fire lighting steel. It's designed to easily light a stove or fire even when wet. It's "approved by the International Survival Instructors Association" so should be a good bit of safety gear when playing in the wilderness.

So does it really work when wet? We tested it in this video

Campmor Tents

When I took the Black Wolf tent back to Kangaroo Tent City I came across a tent that I had not heard of before. They are a heavy duty canvas tent that look like a good quality tent. Has anyone had any experience with the Campmor tents that are made in South Africa?

How do I choose which camping trailer to buy or make?

I've just sold our camping trailer. It was a good one, nothing wrong with it but the lure of ebay and the trading post was too strong.

So now I'm trawling through ads looking at possible replacements but the options are too great. There is one for every purpose. Check out the one in the pic - the possibilities! You could bolt anything on to that.

I think the only solution is to buy several and have one for the various occasions that camping throws at you.

One of our mottos here at mycampgear.com is 'One camping trailer is NEVER enough'.
