How to effectively relieve a mozzie bite

OK guys, I've been hassled enough to start blogging! So here it goes.

I think anyone would agree that one of the banes of camping is mosquito bites. There is nothing worse than sitting round the campfire and getting bitten to billy-o, only to be awake half the night attending to swollen, itchy bites.

Well, I have recently discovered a small, quick, no mess, very effective solution - Design Go's 'Soothe Mosquito Bites' product. It is a small, attractive turquoise unit that you place onto the offending bite and click several times onto the bite for relief within 5 minutes. The click creates something like a small 'shock' - it feels a bit like a pin prick - that somehow relieves the bite.

The pro's:
- it's small, so it's easy to take anywhere
- it's fast AND effective - often permanently if you get the bite soon enough
- there is no mess or messing around - unlike something like calamine lotion

The con's:
- my kids don't like the little shock so they won't use it or have it used on them
- once, on an old bite (4 days or so), it exacerbated the itch
- cost: $20-$30AUD seems a bit high, but it is more effective than anything else I have used

All in all, I would rate this product at a 5 out of 5 for effectiveness. In our home it has affectionately become known as 'the clicker'. Never again will we go camping without it!
